All texturizers and releaxers are made from sodium hydroxide, right? So would it be problematic to switch from brand to brand? I wonder, because I did my first texturizer about two weeks ago and didn't get the results I totally wanted; I am not sure if the relaxer was too weak or if I just didn't let it process long enough. Therefore, I am wondering if and when I try it again, if I should try the same brand for a longer processing time or if I should try a different, stronger formulation altogether?

No, all texturizers/relaxers are not made of sodium hydroxide (LYE). Many of them are NO LYE, especially the box ones. So make sure you read the labels and are getting exactly what you want.

As long as you make sure it is lye(if that is what you're using), there shouldn't be a problem. Just this last time that I retouched I used a different brand from what I normally use. No big deal at all.
