ok, I used Affirm for awhile. but my friend got her hair done by this guy and it looked great. so I thought i would try him. He did not have Affirm, so he used winner on my hair (I've never heard of it either), anyways, I want to go to another hair dresser but I want to go back to Affirm, due to the fact that my hair is shedding more often than usual. the big question is, is that a good idea or will it damage my hair. thanks

try a protein treatment to stop the shedding but follow up with a moisturizing conditioner then try and see if your hair is stronger before getting a relaxer. My hair is fine when I change relaxers but I try to grow my hair out a bit before applying the new relaxer

The main chemical is the same as long as you are using the same type of relaxer (lye or no-lye)
