Not to get all panicky, but has anyone seen the red swastika on the Swastik Shikaki shampoo bar?

I know it's an Indian product, but it doesnt quite sit well with me.
Any thoughts on this?

The bar wrapping is like a mustard yellow color. This is specifically the Swastik bar. Not sure if it's the "red bar" that other ladies have mentioned, but I know one of the ladies on this forum mentioned Swastik, which is what made me check out my wrapper.

i think the swastika is originally an Indian symbol (Native American i think) before it was appropriated by the Nazis.

Okay. This makes sense. I didn't think Native Americans shared the same Nazi way of thinking, but thought I'd ask here first.

before the Nazi's used it for evil- the swastika is a Sanskrit symbol symbolizing wholeness and purity. The symbol on your bar of soap is the ancient symbol not the bastardized version of Nazi Germany. There are threads about this. Do a search you'll get alot of information that way.

You ladies know everything. Thanks for clearing this one up for me.

...And before the dumb Nazis revamped the symbol, it was also a good luck charm. Not to mention that this symbol is all over churches around the world. I challenge you all to research this symbol as the eastern connotation is very different.

Also I think it was the Indians...dot not a feather....type...sanskrit implies this. Other info I have read suggest that it is East Indian. bonjour
