I say that because I have found myself very much in love with these products (Amla Oil, Vatika Henna Conditioning Shampoo, Henna, Shikaki Soap, etc.). So the other day I tried to do a conditioner wash and my hair DID NOT like it. The conditioner was all natural and cone-free but my hair seemed to reject it. I guess this will teach me to put something before Amla - :spank:

Has this happened to anyone else?

I've sort of let things laspe other than ayurvedics - but someone else mentioned that the Ayurvedics spoiled their hair for any other products - so it's definitely possible!

How long had you been doing the Ayurvedic regi? If more than a few weeks, it might be best to clarify because of the potential buildup you might have. I normally do my Ayurvedic regi for 3 weeks, then the 4th week I clarify and condition.

Yeah I am having a horribly lazy week and did a cowash with some leftover cheapie conditioner....:wallbash: Needless to say its been in a high bun since.:perplexed

Hmmmm...I did not think of doing this. I will try to clarify this weekend.

Thanks for the advice Jazzy. :)

Oh snap this very same thing happened to me!! I decided to use my beloved Blended Beauty Curl Quenching Conditioner wash and my hair didn't like it. :nono: And yes I clarified with a mix of ACV & water a few days ago. My hair now only responds to the Ayurvedic products and seems to be more in love with it each day. I can't wait to do my powders this weekend. :weird:

In place of the commercial conditioner/deep conditioners, I have thought of doing homemade deep conditioning treatments that Shiraz uses:

Banana Yogurt Smoothie Masque

Avocado & Oil Treatment

I have done the Banana Yogurt Smoothie Masque and my hair loved it. It came out really shiny and strong. Not weighed down at all.
