Surgers... Do you use the Surge 14...

all over your hair including ends or just on your scalp? I have been using it on my scalp and was wondering whay yhe effects would be if used all over?

I use it only on my scalp followed up with Donnie's curl activator. I used it on my ends when they used to tangle horribly (needed a trim). It was the one thing that prevented tangles. However it left my hair very dry. I certainly didn't see other benefits from spraying it on my hair.

I recently tried it all over the hair but it made my hair feel hard and dry. I went back to just the scalp and that works just fine.

OK, I was wondering if it could be done another way besides the scalp. I will stick to the scalp, I dont need to create another disaster with my ends! LOL

I wouldn't try it any other way other than the scalp. There's no real benefit to the hair itself.

I agree that it doesn't really benefit the hair other than maybe to help with tangles.

I've used it both ways and it seemed to make my hair pretty dry too when sprayed directly on the hair.

I spray surge on my scalp and hair with no problems and follow with Sta So Fro and my hair is not dry the best benefit for me is my hair is stronger and no see thru ends.

What do you mean by that? Are you saying Surge gave you the appearance of new growth, but no real length?

Just curious because Foxybronx posted a thread about this a while ago, wondering if it was just reversion or actual growth that Surge gave her.

Wow I was just going to post asking this as I FINALLY found Surge today (thanks LCHF!). The bottle suggests using it on the rest of the hair but everyone seems to think it's a bad idea. I sprayed some on before reading this so we'll see how it turns out tomorrow.

Sta So Fro in the brown bottle eh? I think my mother used to use this on me when I was little! Is it good for wash and go naturalers?

I put it on my scalp right after washing my hair while my pores are still open, then I put s-curl on right after & my hair isn't dried out. I also put it on my ends right before doing the baggie tech. with EVOO.

I only use it on my scalp. I introduced my neighbor to Surge and she uses it all over her hair as a detangler. She said it's the best detangler that she's ever used. She's all natural, her hair looks like it might be in the 3c/4a range.

exactly. I noticed that after surging for about 3 weeks, i suddenly had a lot of newgrowth. When i relaxed last week, i didnt notice any improvement with the length of my hair. I think what it does is revert the hair to its natural state

I spray it just on my scalp, but after a wash, I may spray just a little bit on my hair cuz its a great detangler. Not much though and I always follow up with other products
