Hello..
I am part of the big head committee, which is the major reason why I cannot wear a ponytail.

I wear my hair down everyday in a roller wrap.
I have had this bottle of surge for the past 4 weeks and only used it twice. This one day I used it I sprayed it on my scalp as directed. When I woke up the next morning my rollerset was gone.... I had to wear a pony tail to work...

I want to gain the benefits of this product. Can someone please advice me on how to use surge with a rollerset hair style..

So you completed a rollerset, then Surged on dry hair?

For me, the downside to using Surge is that it does frizz up my 4b hair if I spray on dry hair. Its like spraying water on my hair.
--Perhaps you can spray it on your scalp when your hair is wet only.
--Or, do you use a daily hair lotion or moisturizer? If so, maybe adding Surge to it.
--Also, at night, try dipping your finger into the Surge bottle and spreading Surge directly onto your scalp only, then oil your hair around that part, and immediately wrap your hair in a scarf.

HTH.

When I have a rollerset, I spray only my scalp with Surge as perfectpeace suggested. I roll in about 6 to 8 large foam rollers wrapped with end papers. This preserves my rollerset for about 4 days. when it starts losing its bounce, I go ahead and apply moisturizer and oil over the Surge and style in different ways. I have fine 4a relaxed hair. HTH.

This is one reason why I stopped using Surge. Back in 2004, I would wear my hair down most of the time and wasn't able to use Surge for fear of messing up my hair if it was done in a rollerset/wrap.

Hey Dana, you can try using surge on your hair and scalp everytime you do a roller wrap. For me, since I wash twice a week, I use it as a leave in, then I set and wrap when dry. That's the only time I use it.
