Surge REALLY works

I was afraid of it too.

I just decided to give it a shot.

I've been surging a week now, 2x a day. I part and spray. After each spray I spray a mixture of Wonder 8 Oils(only because the bottle has a spritzing nozzle)jojoba and olive oil...oh and I added the rest of my Hot Six oil in there too. I generally wipe may hairline down with soapy water or just plain water. I see a big difference in thickness and growth. I started with about a 0.25 inch and now I have about a little over 0.50!! No joke. So far, so good. it also is keeping my hair nice and moist and shiny. It does kinda make my newgrowth in the crown area feel a little crunchy. I just moisten the newgrowth with my SheaMoisture Leave-In Condition or Nature's Blessing.

I've learned from you ladies here at LHCF to manage my newgrowth. Since I'm just trying out Surge and getting some satisfactory results so far, I plan to start surging 8 weeks post relaxer until touchup time. I'm currently stretching to every 3 months.

I'm getting GREAT results. I've had braids for 3 weeks now and have 3/4 of an inch. I'm sure i'll have a full inch for the month. [doing the running man] Go Surge, Go....

How often are you all doing it? I bought it a year ago and started using it (2x/day) but like some of you I found it drying and it made my hair crunchy and my ends broke a bit from it. I also didn't notice a growth surge. Hmmm, maybe I could try it again...2x/week and just on my scalp.

I got really good results from Surge (pics in album). In a months time I believe I had about 1-2 inches all around. However, I've only been able to use Surge sucessfully with braids! I miss the growth I was getting from Surge with braids so I went out an bought some today and plan to use it for a personal challenge that I have set for myself (will post about it later).

Surge worked for my hair but I couldn't afford it. From now on, I'm just going to let it grow the way it wants to... slowly /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif

I use unbraid spray right after I us Surge and it prevents the crunchiness.

Yeah I used scurl too and it was still crunchy. My hair has a strong aversion to protein though maybe that's what happened.

I've gotten great results from surge also. What I do is take 2 parts of oil to one part of surge and add it to my scalp, that way my hair doesn't curl up too much.

I'm glad Surge is working for you. /images/graemlins/smile.gif You're hair shows it! Beautiful hair! /images/graemlins/love.gif Anyway, I never really used my Surge 14 consistently to notice a growth difference.

Denali03, how do you use your Surge? how often? on wet and/or dry hair? with what hairstyles? etc.? And are you talking about Surge 14 and/or a combination of other Surge products? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I didn't care for Surge14 too much, and I didn't use it like I was suppose to because I didn't want to wet my hair. I might try the Ultra Max though, because it's not a liquid.

I have a question about SURGE. How do you spray it on your hair. Do you keep it braid to spray it easily or part your hair everyday on each section.

I have my hair conrow to get easy acess(SP).

I love surge too I use it along with the Moisture aid or Sta So Fro and get good results
The jury is still out for me with the Ultra Max it made my hair kind of dry, it does not provide enough moisture for my hair.

I love Surge!!! I started using it while I was in braids...and I have much success! I spray Surge on my scalp, followed by a spritz of Palmer's Virgin Olive Oil...I swear by this stuff!!!

Browneyshyne, I take photos because I really can't tell. I will say that after a month I can see thickness. I don't think it helps my hair grow but my strands don't look so anorexic.

I have had the same bottle for almost a year..It takes too much time and energy to part my hair and spray...Im so lazy /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

i think this is the reason why i dont use Surge that much! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Have you guys tried changing the spray top to a squirt nozzle (found the idea in someones album) (the top of WG Hair oil is a perfect fit. you can squirt dierctly onto your scalp.

Thanks Poohbear /images/graemlins/blush.gif
I use surge 14 once a day, spraying it on my scalp only. I apply it at night, wake-up in the morning and put my hair in a bun.
Thats about it

Thanks for your reply! I'm gonna start using Surge more consistently once I start my baggie method challenge. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi everyone I am a newbie!:) But since looking on your website I went out and bought some Surge Products (WooGee Creme, Ultra Max, Surge 14, and the shampoo) any suggestions on how to use them effiently? I have really how do you say "nappy hair" (my mother use to say it cut her when I was little and was happy when I was old enough to get a perm)and was trying to strecth my perm but I don't know how that was going to work out with this nappy stuff. But does Ulra max work as good as Surge 14?

Surge does work although I haven't been using it consistently. I've been lazy with my hair the past couple of months. I need to get back on track with my routine. This may be why I'm beginning to have breakage again in the crown part of my head. Surge is great!! I love it too!!!

I wish I had the results you ladies had. After hearing all the raves I ran out and purchased 2 bottles all the way across town (I've seen it everywhere since). After using it for a week my roots felt like straw. My hair was hard as a brick. I cannot use Surge

I have recently (a month or two ago) started using the spray all over my scalp at night. I haven't noticed any extra growth. Leave it to me to be the freak who doesn't get any results.

I do believe it's a good strengthener, though. My nape area hasn't been this long and strong since... EVER! Relaxed or natural, that section was always dry and short.

I haven't seen any difference either (growth, thickness, or even crunchiness). I bought Surge 14 to help recover the massive hair shedding a portion of my scalp suffered during the weeks before I knew I was pregant. Once I finish my Surge 14, I don't think I'll repurchase. I think I'm going to try out Mahalialee's radical hair recovery recipes instead. So far, everything I've tried of hers has worked.

I've had great results with Surge as well, but my hair looked awful way before I wanted to take my braids out. People started begging me to take my hair down(to no avail). I was thinkin' maybe next time I'll try some hats.

sweetpea, Dana, I am curious how the Ultra Max is working...are you seeing the same results you see with 14Plus? TIA :).
