Surge REALLY works

OK, so Ultra Max IS supposed to work like the spray formula? This I really need to know because I bought some a while ago and used it for like a week consistently, but wasn't sure if it was supposed to have the same result so I slacked off. So let me hear more about this. I posted a question a while ago as to whether using it alone would yield the same results. Maybe I will just be the guinea pig and try it out. I do like ultra max, but I think it can be a little drying to the scalp, at least that's what happened to me. However, it did soften my new growth and with the way my hair looks now I can definitely use that right now.

How long did it take you ladies using the spray formula to see results? I just want to get an idea of that so that when I am using the Ultra Max if it is comparable.

I have been using surge 2x a day, on dry hair. Once in the morning before my protective style of choice, and then once in the evening before I tie my hair with a scarf. I don't think you can wear your hair down using it 2x a day, but maybe someone has found a way to. The new growth is there, I am not touching my hair up until late February (16 weeks stretch).

I also use it after my shampoos.

KAddy, each time I start to Surge for a couple weeks, it seems like I see results earlier and earlier. The first time I think it took about 10 days. Last time, maybe 7? This time, I think I already feel something going on and it's only been 5 days.

Thanks Dreems.

I think I will start my experiment tomorrow night as I just oiled my scalp last might with my oil mix. I will try to use it every night for the rest of the month. I am currently 7 weeks post relaxer, but I have different amounts of growth throughout my head. The top and middle have a lot as do the sides. The back doesn't have as much so we will see what happens.

Sounds good...keep us posted :).

Now that I am braided, I have been back to Surge. I am taking Dana's suggestion and spiking it, using tea tree oil and EVO. I had scalp irritation with Surge before, but that is when I was wearing my hair out and not using any other moisturizer or washing it often. In braids, I use a moisturizing spray, EVO, and I wash it more often so I'm hoping I won't suffer from scalp burn. Last time I used Surge with braids, it really worked.

Sorry Dreems, I am just seeing this. Ultra Max dried my hair out  I am sticking with the revitalizer :)
I did experience a little drying on my scalp when I tried it, but I am going to back to using it and see what happens.

Ladies I have a couple of questions.
1. some people have stated that you should wait a while before applying the surge 14 due to receiving a perm. I just recently received a perm this past saturday 12/18/04, I bought the product today when should I start using the product.

2. I use other products like WGO & African Pride on my hair can i use the surge product as well?

3. Does my hair has to be wet (says on the bottle) to use, should it only be applied to the scalp?

Praying that this product helps me like some of you has stated earlier.

Oh, no problem, Dana--thanks. One more question, now...did you oil your hair like you would with the regular Surge and it was still dry? I am Surging now, and I'm not quite sick of it yet...but I know the time is coming :look:...it'd be good to have a backup. TIA :).

Hi,
thanks for info on surge. I here so much about and decided I want to try it. What brand should I look for and where can I buy? My beauty stores in my area does not carry it.

Thanks

Until Kaddy posts her results with the Ultra Max, I'd say stick to the Surge 14 Plus, since we know that can work miracles. I get mine from Walgreens...hth :).
