How does your new growth feel after using it? Does it cause your hair to tangle (at the root)? Does ur newgrowth feel 'nasty' for lack of a better word?

TIA

Re: Surge Question!

When it's still wet, my NG is cottony soft. It detangles my hair really well.

BUTTTT, if I don't use oil on my hair before I use it, it's CRUNCH TIME when it dries and it DOES feel kinda nasty!!

Re: Surge Question!

The same happens to me. It's great as a detangler but I have to spray, oil, and detangle right then and there. If I let it sit, my hair becomes a knotty mess and nothing can detangle it.

Re: Surge Question!

So i got the order backwards... i c.
I'm using the surge, then the oil (wgo), i'll just reverse the order and c how it turns out.

Thanks

Back of the surge bandwagon I see /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Surge Question!

Yeah, I apply an oil mixture to my scalp after every application of Surge(but I only do it for the possibility of irritation) However, it has help to keep the crunchy feeling down. I apply a little of my SheaMoisture, to my newgrowth sometimes for extra softness, depending on how I want to style it.

Re: Surge Question!

The thing is i don't get that 'crunchy' feeling, i get a dry, nasty, brittle, tangled mess feeling...

@ Nice - yeah, i took a 6 months haitus /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm back on the bus now /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Surge Question!

I don't have a problem with it..although I was off and on for a minute. Trying to be consistent with it again.
I put it on the scalp, spray/apply some form of moisture after applying. So far, so good.

Re: Surge Question!

I spray, apply a little let's jam, and my wgho. It keeps the hair smooth when it dries. I did it before without anything and my hair felt pretty rough!
