Surge/I Think I've Been Cheated! Help Me Out

Hello Ladies

I broke down and got Surge about 4 days ago. I had been wearing a wig with a front comb attachment that left my front edges thin. Very thin.
I am using a combination of massaging with Emu oil and rosemary, cedar oil. As this has always kept my edges thick. I thought Surge would speed up the process of aiding my hair in recovery.

I purchased my Surge from Gi Gi Beauty Supplyonline.
I don't believe I have the true product:
1) It has no smell
2) It has no color which I would assume would be a bit cloudy, it looks just like water!
3) It dosen't burn, nor sting or flake as I assume it would from some of the threads, but then again my scalp is not sensitive.

Could some of you users tell me if these are characteristics of the Surge 14 Hair Revitalizer or have I been cheated?
Is there a trustworthy online site where I can purchase it from?
thank you

Mine had only a faint smell. Not anything great. It was clear, and did not sting. I don't know what to tell you. I hope you have not been cheated.

Mine too, it has a very faint smell nothing exciting, but it doesn't stink, it's one of those things I say smell like nothing.

My surge smells nice. when i was using surge i was using it on my bare scalp every day for like 2 weeks and at the end my scalp felt very sore like i had a relaxer burn which is very unusual for me (my hair is natural now and when i was relaxed my scalp was very strong and cud take super strengthrelaxer)so i stopped using it.
However from previous threads, i learnt is betta to oil the scalp first and then surge as there is too much protein in it. I've been doing this for a while now and i dont get the soreness anymore.

Therefore if as u say, u apply ur oil mix daily and then surge, i dont think you will get the irritiations mentioned in previous threads. My surge is also clear like water.

I've been using Surge now for the past 3 weeks, twice a day. Mine, like others, does have a faint smell....nothing overpowering like MTG. It does seem to be a little cloudy, but could easily pass for looking like water. I do get a little soreness in my crown area, but I am also not using any other oils with it when I put it directly on my scalp.

I do know that it has helped out a lot. I have so much new growth, but it feels so weird. Totally different than any other new growth I've had before, very soft and curled like little ringlets. I know it has to be the Surge because I'm not taking any vitamins or any other growth aides.

So I hope you haven't been cheated. I would say use it for a week straight, twice a day and see if you notice anything different.

I used it for 3 1/2 weeks. During that time i dont know if it just made my roots really puffy or my hair actually grew, but my scalp started to flake. I already had dandruff problems but these flakes were huge. My surge had a smell. It smelt pretty nice. I got mine from Walgreens. I really hope you weren't cheated. If you believe you have been, just send it back and get your money.

i know it's crazy, but you could dip the tip of your finger in ,and taste to see if it's water or not?! lol!:lachen:

eta:if you call the company, or email them of your concerns, then ask them to send you a bottle, and if they send you a pre-paid mailign package you can send them yours. If am sure that they will just send you free product. Give it a try,and see what the company says.

I bought surge from GiGi's before I live close to the store so I would just drive there to get mine BUT I stopped going there and getting Surge alltogether because it's consistency was not like it was when it first came out years ago I like the soapiness (sp) that I would get from the earlier bottles I could actually see it on my hair but the bottles I had been getting from GiGi's was like water no soapiness not much smell so decided to go to Walgreens and I bought 1 bottle to test it out and it did have the soapy lather so I figured this was authentic so I went back and purchased all 6 bottles hoping that they were the same I got down to my last 2 bottles and they were watery also so maybe it's the Surge Company changing the products I don't know but I am NEVER buying it again because you never know what you'll get :(

Hmmm. You know, I purchased my first bottle of Surge a few months ago at my local "mom-and-pop" BSS, and a few days later purchased a bottle from Walgreens. I don't believe it wasn't the same stuff in those two bottles because they smelled differently, and affected my hair differently.

I'm convinced that the product I got at the BSS was not the "real deal" after trying the Walgreens bottle which detangled my hair nicely, and made my scalp tingly. The bottle at the BSS had some red sticker on it, too, that said "New Formula," bit I just didn't believe it after reviewing the effects of my drug store purchase. :ohwell:

I bought one from walgreens and i notice that it suds and foams when sprayed on the hair. i bought one in the nyc beauty supply store on 32nd street and it didnt sud or foam. i poured it in my hand and it dried like alcohol. i threw both bottles away. it was clear in color. it used to be slight pink. i think the color changed though so that is ok. i stopped using surge when my hair fell out and i didnt know the cause. i was so upset that the owner for the store sold the fake product, but it might not be their fault if they are buying it from a middle man. but i wish surge would come with some plastic cover. but for now i am not using it. i am still tempted but i cant verify which product is true.
