What's the difference between the two?

I'm thinking about making my own growth aide comparable to MTG/BT. I have a lot of msm sitting around the house and was wondering if i could use that instead.

Also, to people who make their own sulfur/oil mix, does it stink?

I don't know about putting msm in shampoo but I take it orally. It's short for methylsulfonylmethane. Good for joints, pain (excellent anti-inflammatory properties), helping to alleviate allergies, and hair growth.

Sulfur is well..... sulfur. :ohwell: lol I tried. :lachen:

MSM is either a type of sulfur or derived from sulfur. It's definitely closely related to sulfur...

I just don't know if it has the same properties :ohwell:

There is an execellent thread about this in the recipe folder. Heres the link http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=61413

Lots of info there. I ordered 2 bottles of sulfur online after reading that thread. Havent used them yet.

there is another thread here that spells out the difference between sulfa, sulfur, sulfate, sulfuric acid, etc and why those, like me, who are allergic to sulfa based drugs can still use sulfur....
