I'm wondering what people have found to be helpful to soften their hair...I guess a moisturizer, but I want my curls to be soft...I just bought Carol's Daughter hair butter, but I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be.

jyonce-we have similar hair and unfortunately, i have not found anything yet that will help my curls dry softly. they will still be defined, but are hard and stiff. and, putting stuff on after it dries never works for me. i'll keep an eye on this thread just in case someone else has suggestions.
Thanks to both of you! Yes, swirl...I love my curls, but I just wish they wouldn't be so dry...I do conditioner washes all of the time, but once my hair dries, it looks thirsty
the best thing for my dry hair/ends, was a glycerine and water mixture. Also, you may want to try to add small amounts of olive oil and almond oil. Good luch.
I use a combination for my curls to dry soft. I use suave milk & honey conditioner as a leave in, a bit of Salerm 21, a light serum like NTM or Pantene. My curls come out very soft w/o any crunch at all.
What also helps my curls stay soft is doing an overnight conditioning treatment the day before. I use Nexxus Humectress to do this and my hair looks and feels very soft and my hair seems shinier as well. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I've been usinga combination of castor oil, coconut oil and wildgrowth oil on my new growth, this the second time that I am transitioning and I noticed that my new growth is alot softer than before.
I bought John Freida Dream Curls yesterday and I used it today for the first time-I am very happy with the results...although it wasn't great on my new growth-so the search continues
