Success with Sewin Weaves Tips and Ideas Please....

I just got my sewin done on Saturday and was just wondering if there are any ladies that have successfully grew their hair long by using sewin weaves. I just wanted to get some tips and ideas on what i could do during the time i have my weaves and what products i should use to get the most growth from wearing sewins especially after i remove them. I know of only one person of course and thats The Weave Specialist Reniece but i was just wondering if there are any other ladies out there...

There should be some threads on taking care of weaves. I think the key is to protect and moisturize your hair under the weave. Treat the weave like your hair- don't pull it, comb or brush to hard, and try to minimize the use of heat. Wash about every 1-2 weeks. HTH.

While I'm newly natural with a TWA, I did grow my hair by fluke by wearing weaves when I was in 12th grade. The sad part is, I never really did anything to the weave. I didn't even wash it. I just wrapped it up everynight and after about a month I would take it out. Now of course I know better than that, but I've gotten good growth from weaves the past 10 months. I usually washed once a week and sprayed the cornrows with braid/weave spray as needed. I don't really use any products on my weaves though. It depends on what type of hair I'm using. The more expensive hair tends to not need as many products. HTH...
