yeh I am about to invest in suave see how it works for me, I like VO5 peaches, but the blushing apples isnt that good, I am about to just give away the shampoo's and only do the cheap conditioners
Suave! I love their conditioners. I tried the VO5 conditioners for the first time recently (strawberries and cream and tangerine tickle) ...and I don't think they even compare to Suave. Suave is very moisturizing and leaves your hair soft...soft...soft.
The VO5 left my hair feeling kinda dry and stripped.
VO5 smells too dawg gone strong for my taste. It conditions rather well, but Suave does it for me; not too strong a smell, great conditioning, and cheap ! ! !
I prefer V05 because it's thicker, offers slip, makes my hair soft, and smells good. Suave is too watery for me and does nothing for my hair. The Suave Milk and Honey conditoner is an exception.
V05 Strawberries and Cream is the only conditioner I've found that works with my hair consistently. (Creamy Fresh Peaches works well for clarifying, but if I use it too often, it dries my hair.) Every other conditioner I've tried -- including a couple from Suave -- had weird effects on my hair, typically drying or excess frizz. But V05 Strawberries and Cream never fails to leave my hair soft and manageable, and it seems to do the most to help bring out my curls. And yes, the slip factor is pretty good for my natural 3-something to 4a hair.
IMO, Suave. I love the way it leaves my hair with softness and excellent slip. My favs: Tropical Coconut, Milk and Honey and Ocean Breeze. I use VO5 occasionally as a mix for my leave-ins.

Same here. My favorites are the humectant, awapuhi and cucumber melon from the professionals line. vo5 was too runny and thin and not as detangling for me, although they smelled good.
I personally love VO5 oasis Honey and Almond shampoo and conditioner. Suave is alright but it feels to watery to me. IMO it seems like a lot of ladies with thick hair tend to lean more towards VO5 but hey thats just my opinion.
VO5 smells too strong, but I find Honey and Almond conditioner to be an excellent substitute for Suave Milk and Honey.
OT: The best *cheap* conditioner I found that gave incredible slip was Daily Defense Tender Apple. I haven't had a relaxer in 7 months and it helps tremendously with my hair.
In any case they're all under $1 (except for VO5 honey and almond, which is a little more than $2).
