Stylist in the San Francisco Bay Area

can anyone recommend a good hair stylist in the San Francsico bay/Stanford University area? I am not good with scissors and I am looking for someone that can trim hair well.

The last stylist I went to trimmed 2" of length of my hair. That was half my growth for the year. Needless to say, I was unhappy about that.

Apparently there is also a Madu Salon in San Francisco that specializes in curly/kinky hair. I'd love to find a stylist I can go to consistently when I need trims.
