Study Bible.....

Good afternoon Ladies.

I am in search of a good study bible to just use for that main purpose because I already have a bible that I enjoy reading NCV. I would like something with a more modern approach to if, no KJV. I am new to learning my bible and just need something along side to help me better understand certain things that are going on, if that makes sense.

Do you ladies have any good ones that may have helped you out?

I have the NLT Life Application Study Bible, and I like it. It expounds on the Bible verses and discusses how we can apply the verse to our lives today.

Wow...I was going to say the same! I LOVE the NLT Study Bible. It also has the best concordance I've seen IMO. I second everything loolalooh said.

Its the same one I posted right, the GREEN one? If so I will go ahead and order it on amazon cause it was double/triple the price in Lifeway...

Yes, it's the green one, but mine is a different color. I also got mine from Lifeway, but it was on sale. I agree, they can be expensive.

I have this and I LOVE it...it really helps me break down the word, but i think they may run expensive, someone gave me one, price tag said $99. Mine is brown and tan.

I love it and recommend it, it's a very good study Bible.

Where do you ladies get your foundation from? Are they (the other) ladies stronger knowleged in the Bible. How often do yall study?

I attend Bible Study at an amazing church but I dont wanna limit that to just Tuesday's, plus I dont have a mentor or someone with a strong base in the Bible so I am trying to get it myself.

I have a KJV Keyword Study bible. It has alot of history and it gives you the Greek and Hebrew meaning of the each word. I love it. It has alot of scripture reference as well. it was $80.00 but that was like 2 years ago, so its much cheaper now.

I agree. The word is easy to follow. I bought the study bible after reading this forum.
