Strongly considering going au natrual

I have been thinking about this topic ever since my coworker (who has waist length hair) said she would never relax. She has thick, full natural hair which is extremely healthy. I used to have hair like that too and wondered about au natural. Only part that stops me is the weather here which is extremely humid at times. My hair and humidity means I'll look like a lion head. Other than that, I think about it in length since it seems like my hair is always reverting anyway. Then, I'm always adding oils and straightening out my hair with the blowdryer or curling iron. Still considering. Hmmm.......

That's true. Even with a perm, I experience frizz (oogly frizz

), which is why this decision is so easy for me to make.

My hair didn't break, either. Even after I kind of ignored my relaxed hair and started using products that worked on my natural hair. But I don't try to manipulate the two textures into cute styles every day either. It's damp 90% of the time and every few months I'll press my hair and trim off a little bit.

When I pressed last month it was nape length (the same length my relaxed hair was this time last year. Whoo hoo!). The part that broke off is shorter, but I can see that it is growing, too.

If I "wash and go", my hair looks like it's 2"-3" long.

Thank you, Kedala!
I'm so glad to see other people transitioning. It's good to hear what other people are going through!
