Strongest Detangler??

I loooove the aveda sapp moss detangler. It eases the comb right through.
 
These are some excellent responses!!

But I see everyone talking about WASHING and then detangling..

What if your hair is ALREADY tangled?? Would you take a chance on washing it before you detangle?? OR detangle first?

And what would you use to detangle it first??

Invariably my hair is always somewhat tangled since I never comb it in between wash days. To deal with tangles I do the following:

On wash day, I saturate my hair with conditioner and add some oil for additional slip. I begin gently detangling with my fingers and then braid my hair in 4 plaits. I shampoo then undo each braid one by one and add detangler and conditioner and comb under the shower stream in sections. Then I condition some more.

Washing in braids has been a real lifesaver for me, it really helps and keeping hair from getting tangled further when washing. HTH :yep:
