Did you all know this and I'm the late and slow bus around here? I just found this out yesterday. With all the turmoil with ORS Replenishing Conditioner, I forgot to post this.

I periodically go out on QP's site since they are another close manufacturer in my area. While I was on their site, I saw tab for Press. So, inquiring minds want to know. I saw a press release dated for October 2008 that Strength of Nature (Profectiv in Georgia) acquired.

I've been a QP girl for a few years now. I don't use as many qp products as I used to though. I felt a sense of security knowing the QP was under the umbrella & chemist of Kenra and Elucence. So, I dread the unthinkable of what the new company will do...just like ORS.

Thank you for this post one of my friends is a faithful user of elasta qp. I will let her know. This kind of doesn't make me feel bad about being a multiples junkie. If i find something i like i always stock up. Bss opens in 1 hour i will call her so she can be on it.

From what i remember profectiv products are of good quality.the original line contained no mineral oil or petroleum which is why i liked them for my hair even before coming to hair forums. so i dont think the quality will go down because of that.

I love Profectiv. They are a quality brand. I've been using them for years.

I am actually glad to hear about this, because Profectiv disappearing has always been one of my fears.

What's going on with my beloved ORS Replenishing?

Profectiv products are good quality, I don't think they will mess up Elasta. I actually prefer Profectiv products to Elasta QP myself.

I hope this means Elasta won't end up with that same dang banana scent in the profectiv products. *wrinkles nose*

Ugh, I don't like the sound of this.... On one hand I don't think they'll ruin the moisturizers and protein treatments but my gut says they'll add harsher sulphates to all the shampoos :ohwell:!
I really think the shampoos in this line are stellar though right now, gentle surfacants, low or balanced ph, very inexpensive, and the Creme Conditioning one is like the old CON minus the film. Guess I better buy some large sizes within a few months....
