Straw Sets

Does anyone here do straw sets? If so, how on earth do you get the straw to stay on? Yes I know of the site http://www.blackhairmedia.com/hairhowto.htm
but that desription is a little general.
Also what products do you use?
HOw long does it take?
Wilil it stay fresh for 3 days? That's all I would need it to last for anyway.

I do straw sets (I'm transitioning), but I do them with flexirods instead of straws. I use the smallest flexirods, which are like a teal blue color at most beauty supply stores. The work great b/c they bend so they stay put w/ no clips, pins, etc. Although I've heard of it, I've never tried a straw set w/ actual drinking straws.

I use Sensitive by Nature Shimmer Glaze Gel for mine. It's not actually a gel, it comes in a bottle and it's a styling glaze. It's works really well b/c it's not as wet as regular setting lotion.
