Anybody know of anyone who might have a straw set tutorial in their fotki or something?

Im thinking of doing one this weekend, but I'm not sure of all the steps.

How do I get the hair to stay on the straw?

Will the straw melt under the dryer?

I have never seen one in anyone's fotki. I think some use hairpins to get the hair to stay on the straw. I am not sure. Or whatever setting agent they use gets the hair to "stick" to the straw. HTH.

These are ALOT Of work. I tried once, got 50-11 straws out, cut them down to size, and chickened out once I got through the bottom row and it was taking me forever.

(try flexi rods or perm rods for the same type results with easier setting technique!)

I used to do straw sets a lot in college. They took FOREVER, though, which was why I have since stopped doing them! I loved the way they looked, though (IF done right!). I used perm repair setting lotion and water, and I used bobby pins at the top of the straw to fasten them.

Ha! all three of us must have been looking it up.
