Straw Curls...Have Questions...Need Help.

I am contemplating getting some straw curls. I would like to know how do you keep your hair moisturized without making the curls drop or get frizzy? How long do these usually last?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Need suggestions because if this is going to dry my hair out I don't want to get it.

Nothing I can think of to keep the hair moisturized while wearing a strawset without frizzing up the curls. Whenever I moisturize my hair in a strawset it made the curls drop slightly and get somewhat frizzy, however, I was not bother by it.
