Does anybody (especially naturals[4b]) use straightening/relaxing serums to aid in your blowouts, presses, or rollersets? If so, which ones do you use and do you think they really add to the life of the style? Also, when do you put it on? TIA.

Hey Chinagem!

For pressing, I use Biosilk silk therapy or NTM healing shine serum. They both work really good, IMO.

Thank you, TigerLily. I don't have enough hair to straighten yet but when the time comes, I want to be ready.

I use John Frieda's Straightnening Serum to blow dry my hair. It makes it possible to comb through my hair after I wash and condition it, cause otherwise I wouldnt be about to comb through it, neither-lone blow-bry it, LOL.

John Frieda Relax Creme (I was able to get my new growth roots) and Serum. I also heard that NTM is pretty good.

NTM serum. I apply it while my hair is wet. I don't know if it helps my style to last longer, but it does imporve the appearance of the style. It also helps my hair airdry sleeker than usual. HTH /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I love Phytodefrisant Relaxing Balm. I use it on my hair w/my other leave-ins while it's still really wet. It's great for regular use, but it's not a heat protectant. It's important to use both if your using direct heating. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

That is the best stuff hands down!! It's been a HG of mine for YEARS!

Fantasia IC Hair Polisher or Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum. I apply right before I flat iron and it makes my hair silky and hold the press longer /images/graemlins/smile.gif
