Could they have kept that flat iron on her thin hair any longer?? And combing with that rat comb, and how about the hair spray:eek: , terrible:lol:

first of all I would never use that comb:eek:

second, I get my hair much straigther by just blowdrying.

I didnt like the results either:(

wow, all that heat, 10 passes and the hair looked the same, no change at all

I was thinking the same thing! The flat iron was smoking  and the girl's hair looked the same as before! :perplexed

Not trying to be funny but I think she should have wash her hair first. It appeared really dirty and greasy before the heat protectant.

Oh wait a minute a I need to wash my hair.:lachen: Oh well I got to do 2 heads tomorrow...

sorry, but this video was rather disgusting. I guess after being on the hairboards for so long, seeing bad haircare can make you feel queezy, lol.

I think her hair was dirty to

Ivaney I feel the same way, its just not right :nono:

I'm confused...Coconut oil as a protectant? Maybe it is, I don't know, but coconut oil has a low burn threshold. A hot iron on that should cause her hair to smoke/burn.

this is what somebody posted right under it:

O.K. first of all chick shouldn't be using so much heat in her hair it is damaged already. Second of all why on God's green earth is the stylist using a rat tail comb in this chick hair. Someone needs to direct the stylist on what combs are proper for Afro hair that has been relaxed. Third, I would like to point out there are several great hair boards/forums on the internet that gives great advice, I would like to suggest you find one and start learning.
and i agree 100%. oh and her hair was dirty, and very damaged. the whole time i was thinking how much thicker and cleaner my hair is compared to hers.

That at the end was supposed to be a style? :lachen:

Oh that poor child's edges looked a mess, and her hair was deathly thin. It also didnt appear to be clean.

I agree. If I am going to straighten my hair it's gonna have some bounce to it.

All that smoke makes me nervous. Does anyone know what's a safe temperature for flat ironing hair? If possible please provide answers in F and C.

Whoa!!!

I have NEVER had to swipe my iron all those times and I NEVER get smoke when I flatironing my hair!!!!

1st of all her hair did not need to be flat-ironed. It looks like it had already been ironed at some point and that she needed agood clarifying and conditioning session.

I am not going to say anything bad thought because there are so many women out here that need help, and that is why boards like this are so popular. It is not like most of us have always been good to our hair.

I feel bad because she if she got a trim a good condition, here hair would be really cute and bouncy. :(
