I've finally gotten decently straight roots and didn't have to use a flatiron. I was thinking I'd have to start straight ironing my roots, but I guess not.
I did the ponytail method and had about 12 in my head I think. I twisted my hair at the root a little bit first before I put it in the ponytail. The same way you would twist when you put in curlformers I guess.
Seems this no direct heat thing isn't so bad afterall
