Straight Roots Minus Heat & Gel

What do you use to straighten your roots inbetween relaxers to have them appear relaxed the entire day without reverting back after a few hours?

I went fours months without a perm, but those roots were getting to me and I had to slap a perm in there quick. Others may not mind the waves/curls, but I like to try and make my new growth blend in with the relaxed hair so that it's not as obvious.

Roller setting by pulling the hair taut gets my roots really straight.

Right now, I'm kinda experimenting with airdrying while securing my hair with 2-4 scrunchies near the scalp so the roots dry straight.

Have you tried a pomade or wax around your egdes? It will keep the hair from reverting.

I think you could get your roots really straight with a rollerset.

I can confirm that. My hair is 3c at the crown, I've been transitioning for 18 months, and my roots are dead straight when I roller set.
