OMG Ladies:

I just washed my hair. I started by putting my mix of henna and amla oil. I don't know what happened to my hair, but it literally started locking together like glue!

I am transitioning, and I haven't BC'd yet (wanted to wait a few more months). Anyway, I am just literally losing goo-gobs of hair. My once BSL, then APL (b/c of mini chops) is probably going to be lucky to be SL:eek:

I don't know if this is a sign from God or what, but please ladies...What do I do?

Oh man...I wish I could tell you something. The only thing I can tell you is to maybe wash your hair again and then rinse it really well and deep condition it.

Is your hair falling out? I hope not....oh man.

Come on ladies...help her because I don't know...:nono:

The mental transition is tougher than the physical one. Why delay the inevitable? But what's the real dilemma?

Is the hair coming out at the line of demarcation? Or at the roots or what? If nothing else, this is a sign that you cannot (necessarily) treat your natural hair like your chemically treated hair.... Let's figure out what we're really dealing with here.

Please do not associate the Big Chop with "losing" your hair in such a harmful way.... transitions can be painful, but the outcomes are worth it....

step away from the scissors and walk away.

put your hair into a plasic baggie.... go to wal mart or wherever and go get a ORS replenishing pack. Put that sucker on your hair and leave in all night. Tomorrow morning wash your hair and GENTLY detangle, with a slippery slimy leave in.

I had this exact same thing happen to me about two nights ago.

I am so sorry this is happening to you! Try to comb it under the shower water, the water may loosen up the tangles. Gently comb from the bottom up. If that doesn't work, put a lots of creamy conditioner in your hair and comb from the bottom up. I hope this helps...

find ANY conditioner you have in your house with a lot of slip (ORS replenishing pak will do you a lot of good; i saw it mentioned above)-- and pour it all over your hair. let it sit for a half hour or so, then get back under the shower and gently detangle.

i saw your other thread about mixing henna with amla oil; i know you were excited to try a new mix-- so sorry this combo didn't work out for you.

but don't panic! and put down the comb! AND THE SCISSORS! detangle as best you can with your fingers, very gently, after you do the conditioner thing.

Thank you ladies. I am sitting with some DEEEEEEEEEEEEEP CONDITIONER NOW. I agree with you RelaxerRehab. I know I'm going to have to BC sooner (rather than later:yep:). I was just hoping for it to be a little later than today:lol:

I was just about to come in here and tell you to calm down :lachen::lachen: But, it appears that you have and you received some great advice as well

It's gonna be ok either way...seriously....:blowkiss::grouphug:

I know. Thanks so much for your advice. I really feel like going natural is a spiritual thing for me (may sound strange). But it's like I have this need to completely accept myself the way God made me, and I suddenly started having this desire to wear my hair in more free, wild styles.
