Stir up the gifts!

(( Sidney ))

Good to see you back! :bighug:

I was about to resuscitate your thread on women of the Bible yesterday

Thank you for this stirring message...it's right on time!

Sid! :bighug: I was just thinking about you. Glad to see you're still here.

Right now I'm working on relaunching a business that involves a passion of mine. As always, your post is right on time.

Glad to hear it was on time, I'm stirring up the gifts right now! I recently found out about a gift I didn't know I had, but after it was told to me it made complete sense. I've been using it but didn't realize it. *duh moment*

do you think you always know your gifts?

I would have said no before, but I think we may use or gifts for other things and not even recognize that we have them. For example, you may have the gift of exhortation but in the natural you find that you are great at encouraging people and giving advice.....but this is a spiritual gift. Look at your talents, look at what you have a natural affinity for, look at what you like to spend your free time doing when that time is available.

Good luck foxee, You have come a long way from this time last year, can't wait to see what comes of this year for you!

I just found out that the gift of exhortation is one of my gifts, along with helps and mercy. I puts a lot of things in perspective. I remember in high school that one of my friends told me I should be a counselor and I thought it mean become a Psychologist but I am currently not a Psychologist but that was the first memory that came to mind when the realization hit. Plus, I used to wonder why I felt compassion for certain situations and people to the point where I'm sensitive. I was given the gift of mercy. One gift I'm not sure of though, the gift of discernment. I need to be in prayer for that one. I say that I may have it because I'm able to sense things around me that is unexplainable but also I can tell if something is not of God too.

I hope I haven't been stirring up the gifts by myself, but my pastor preached on this message twice after I started meditating in this scripture. I've seen God move in major ways already for his glory. Keep stirring up the gifts people!
