Heeeey y'all!
Just wanted to say hey! I wasn't gonna do a "Hi I am new thread" . . . but hey, its late and I am bored I guess I am a newbie as far as posting goes, but I've been hanging around in the shadows for well over a year now Some of you ladies, I know from other hair communities and through albums and such . . . I'll probably still be doing more reading than posting- so y'all don't mind me-- lurk status is hard to break.
So a little about me-- I am a relaxed, color treated, 4a/b gal and I've been trying to grow my hair out for well over a year now. There have been alot of bumps along the way--but my all of my wonderful hair forum buddies have kept me focused. My hair has come a LONG, LONG way-- from thin, breaking, weak shoulderlength hair and to the longest and healthiest its ever been! My ultimate goal is midback length and I am slowly heading past brastrap at my last check in. I passed brastrap at my last relaxer, but I'm on a campaign to get these ends under control. I lost a little ground, but I'm recovering quickly thank goodness! My regimen basically involves heavy protective styling, low heat, washing twice a week, no SLS, no mineral oil, protein as needed--lots of waterbased moisture and natural oils as sealants.
And I guess that sums it up!
