Fall's around the corner...let's really get it together! Soon the weather is going to chill and that brisk air will snap dry ends right off if you aren't careful!
I was really good about exercise, washing frequently, vitamins.

Here is where I slacked this summer and need to 'step it up'

1. Regular deep conditioning (I can count on one hand the times I did it this summer)
2. Wearing a scarf to bed EVERY night (not once a week).
3. Treating my ends morning and night (instead of just once)
4. Protective styling where the ends truly are hidden and protected (no lazy, falling apart bun)
5. Consistent and even moisturizing. I got lazy about this big time this summer, and figured I made up for it in regular washing.

What do you need to work on..better yet, what WILL you work on?

[*] scarf at night (though I always use my satin pillowcase)
[*] moisturizing my ends on a regular basis
[*] protecting my ends ( I wore my hair out basically all summer)
[*] Taking my supplements

- Moisturize my ends regularly.
- Finding 3 flattering, protective hairstles to alternate with. I tend to wear my hair down when I get sick of the trusty old "phonytail."
- More conditioner washes. I've slacked off in August.
- Use my humidifier. My hair and skin suffer when I have the heat on in the cooler months.

-Drinking more tea and water
-Managing stress
-Supplementing consistently
-Deep conditioning weekly
-Moisturizing before bed

Me too. My stylist made a comment last week that my ends look "beat up"

and asked if I've been using the curling iron... (I haven't!!!

) so obviously I've been doing something wrong!!!

Maybe all the airdrying & twist-outs I've been doing all summer haven't been agreeing with me. I'm looking forward to going back to my rollersets this fall.

I'm going to start taking a couple vitamins 1000 mcg Biotin and a mulitvitamin. I haven't taken vitamins in a long while now, but my hair has done wonderfully without them. I just think that a multi and biotin will compliment what I can do naturally
wink.gif

Also of course, I will continue w/conditioner only washes and air drying as often as possible.

Lots of rollersets.

Weekly trips to the salon.

Color Maintenance (and maybe figuring out what I can do about lightening up again just a little).

Once again, I'm making a commitment to vitamins that I almost KNOW I won't keep
look.gif
to take my Hair Factors and Barleans' EFA's. That's all. No mas. I SHOULD be able to manage that at least!

I am FINALLY going to try to conquer my PJ addiction. I have a few staples I'll replace when I need to (Keraphix, Infusium - stuff like that), but ALL of my "experimenting" will be down within the confines of my very own beauty supply store (my hall closet

).

I am planning to moisturuze my ends FAR often than I did and make more time for deep conditioners. I do this but not as consistently as I'd like.

I'll airdry as lonf as it's warm enough.

I plan on sticking like glue to my lo-carb diet and hope for the best as far as growth rate improvements.

I am going to TRY, once again, to use protective styles. Thye look way better on me with longer hair and I've been doing them by accident quite a bit.

This, however, is DEFINITELY negotiable.

Me too. I've been in this wet bun since the beginning of June and it's getting quite boring.

For Autumn/Winter I plan to:

- Condition under a heating cap weekly

- Deep condition w/EVOO or Coconut Oil

- Buy LOTS of silk scarfs because I'm not giving up my wool coat

.

I plan to
* use less heat on my hair by using rollers
* wear my hair in protective styles every so often, though not most of the time
* be more diligent with moisturizing my ends and edges
* take my vitamins consistently
* develop and stick to a regime AND set of products (after I use up all of what I have)

Thanks for mentioning that...it's one of the reasons I experienced breakage last winter.

Visit my stylist more often

Do more roller sets. I thought I was cute this summer and was constantly showing off my new length.

Consistenly take more vitamins.

Take a break from the ceramic flat iron and thermal appliances.

Watch my hair more often. I am thinking twice a week would be good. My hair just loves the water.

Start applying castor oil regularly to my hair line. It really helped with the breakage.

Start reading the hair board more often and less time in OT.

I'm going to try to wash my hair every 3 days instead of every 5.

Adding (upping) supplements.

More excercise.

Moisturize my ends every night instead of every other night.

No more home retouches!

I think I've narrowed my products list down and will try to stop/minimize my new product tries. Some have been disappointing and it takes awhile to correct product mistakes. In other words try to keep a stupid simple regimen. I will keep the wet bun thing going on only drying the top of my head under a warm dryer before bedtime.

well from now till christmas i'm doin the crown and glory technique with a weave to protect my hair in the cold harsh weather. I'm also goin to start up next week on my protein shake and consistance with my vits. hopefully this new regime will help me keep all the length i gain in the next 4 months

I'm going to try to keep my ends sprayed with one of my deep conditioning sprays, I have really been slacking on this. I'm also going to stick to wearing my hair up in a bun 5 days a week. Other than that, things will remain the same. I may give that L-cysteine stuff a try. But, I dunno, I have fallen off the vitamin wagon-HARD.

* I'm going to be wearing my hair in protective styles more often, especially when I'm outside in the cold. I can't imagine wearing my hair down as much has I do in the summer walking around in icy weather.
* Moisturize much more.
* Conditioner washes since I'll be doing protective styles more.
*Rollersets for curly updos.
* Drink more water and stick to my vitamin regimen.

Tracy, what moisturizers do you plan to use on your ends this fall?

Manage Stress

Use A satin pillowcase and/or scarf

More protective styles, especially at bedtime

Better moisturixing before bed

Start using a heating cap or hooded dryer again for conditioning

treating my hairline more

I need to increase my intake of protein somehow. ... This one is hard, because I am vegetarian ... and not a half
spank.gif
ss vegetarian. I don't eat chicken, fish ... or anything that breathes for that matter. I have an aversion towards eggs and cheese too. I will eat it for a while, then it starts to make me sick.

Ballet Bun ...

Moisturizing every night before going to bed

Get more satin pillowcases

Eating healthier- since school's started, my eating habits have totally slipped!! Not good for the hair!! (or body)

Managing stress

Not worry so much about my hair- Let it do it's thang!

Stay consistent with roller setting

Get some satin pillowcases

Taking my vitamins

I think I have a handle on my pj tendencies and I know what I would like my staple products to be I just need to use up all the products I have now

Keeping head covered with silk-lined hats during cold/crisp/windy/wet weather. That goes for wearing gloves to protect hands and nails, too!

I'm going to start washing every 5 days, deep conditioning each time. Moisturising twice a day instead of once, especially the ends.

I plan to:
* remain consistent with my relaxers every 10 weeks (my hair grows better relaxed, and i experience lots of shedding after this period)
* protective styles (hello bun)
* multi-vitamin everyday (plain ol' Centrum or maybe NourishHair)
* stick to a set of hair products
* dominicans' for my wash n set (i lose less hair with them, mondays $10 "especial")
* not stressing length, will to June to chart progress. I'm tired of measuring 0.5" new growth.....I wanna look at my hair and say, dang, 15" in a year lol

exercising regularly
drinking more water
washing at most twice a week
eating more fruits and veggies
stay away from the flatiron!!!
