Steam Flat Irons

I need to replace my Maxxiglide. Does anyone still use steam flat irons.

Doesn't seem like there are many options to purchase. Maxxiglide and the Bayliss are not made anymore. Conair Infiniti and the Rowenta Steam Pro are two options.

Any recommendations?

What have you found the benefits to be?

I really really suck at flat ironing my hair but every time I did it with the Maxxiglide people thought I'd relaxed my hair. It got it really straight. It would stay straight for about 2 weeks, even with the humidity.

Last week I flat ironed my hair with a regular flat iron and it looked just like a blow out even though I had been deep conditioned and applied heat protectant as usual.

What's the difference between a steam iron and a wet/dry?

Steam irons are used on dry hair. It's a flat iron with a comb plate and steam button.
Wet to dry irons are used on wet or damp hair.
