Stations at my church

We have a bunch of "stations" at my church where people can write down various things. One of the new stations said, "People at my church would be shocked if they knew . . . ." and folks wrote all sorts of things, like:

- I am undisciplined and weak.
- I struggle with my faith.
- I don't believe in God.

I thought this was pretty powerful stuff. It was all anonymous so I think that made it easier for folks to be real.

Just wanted to share . . . .

Thanks for sharing. Yes, there are all sorts of people who go to church and feel that way.

Church is like a hospital for sick people.....there are those who are striving to get well, then there are those who are sick and are looking for healing.

Jesus, being the Great Physician, brings healing to all of us who need it...and we all do need it.

Thanks again!

I love the "hospital" metaphor. In fact, it's one of the official "values" of my church. It refers to itself as "a hospital, a garden, a screened in porch, and an oasis . . . ."

I love my church . . . yeah, it's really corny, but they really get to the heart of Jesus' message.
