You are doing a good job. You have sparked my curiosity with tree braids. So I have a few questions. How do you pull the weave hair through? With a crochet hook? and secondly how do you tie it so it doesn't slip off?

Re: Started the Tree Braid Project (Human Hair Pic

Man - you ladies have some serious skills. I can barely do a french braid. I can't do cornrows, let alone tree braids.

It looks great!

Ok ladies! I am DONEEEEE!!!!!

I'll respond to your inquiries in a few. Here are the final results! Not bad for a first try if I do say so myself.

I used less than 1 pack of human hair for these braids. I bought the 16" length...
She's happy that the experiment is over!!

Beautiful. You should teach folks how to do this. What brand of human hair did you use?

TIA

Re: Started the Tree Braid Project (Human Hair Pic

NGC it says "Original Remi Hair" and is a part of the "U.J Collection...A division of fascination wigs"

I'm definitely thinking of teaching people. I could make some extra bucks before this really starts to catch on.

Teenie,
I recorded the steps on my digicam. I can email the video to you. The file is 14.5MB so I'd have to zip it up.

I want some tree braids (**sounding like a whiney 5yr old**)
You did a GREAT job

I'm going to see if my friend can do these for me.
How long 2 u plan to keep them in? Can you spray them w/ curl activator to keep them moist, w/o then slipping out?

Re: Started the Tree Braid Project (Human Hair Pic

Another question for u, Sweets. How many rows approximately do you put in?

[/ QUOTE ] I plan to have her keep them for no less than two months. This should last her well into the first month of summer. She can use a headband if the cornrows in the front get bushy.

[/ QUOTE ]She can spray them, wash them, flatiron, curl. The hair is braided in securely so they won't slipout.

[/ QUOTE ]I counted approx 26 rows. I made them very tiny so they could last longer and also because the hair would look a little thicker.

How long did it take you to do these braids? These braids look great!

[/ QUOTE ] It took me about 8 hours total(I work sloow). I started Friday night for a couple hours and finished up on Saturday. I normally only do my own braids or "family" braids and, fam braids take me 2 months...lol j/k more like 2 weeks.

I'm not familiar with crochet braids. These hairs are not hooked in; Instead, they are braided into the cornrows. After I secure the human hair into her own hair, I separate the human hair from the cornrow and leave it hanging. I'm sending the video to the ladies who requested it. You can see exactly what I did.

Re: Started the Tree Braid Project (Human Hair Pic
