Ladies, can you think of a more economical solution to these weighted hair stretchers? They're a good idea if you have a lot of shrinkage. I wonder if there's a weighted solution that does not cost $20.00.

I only watched about half the video, but you could get some Goody spin pins or a knockoff version and do the same thing. They look similar to her item, except hers have a conical shape and are a bit shorter. I bought a 3 pack of spin pins from Dollar Tree a while back.

The difference is hers are weighted.

But I think if you just put duckbill clips on your roots and ends they can stretch it out some. If you don't mind the fluffly crimped look, banding or even african threading will be a way to go. If you also don't mind the lost of definition, i put my hair in two low pigtail bantu knots and the next day it's nicely stretched.
