Spinoff: What leave-ins/moisturizers contain protein??

Hi ladies,

This is a spinoff from MizaniMami's thread.

Since many of us use leave-ins as our daily moisturizer I am trying to figure out which leave-ins/moisturizers have protein in them. I want to make sure I'm not overloading on the protein. I'm not always clear if something has protein in it or not from the ingredients.

Please also rate whether you think the leave in protein is mild or not.

I'll start:

Salerm21 leave in- mild protein (i think)
Cantu breakcure/growstrong - moderate protein
Lacio Lacio - mild protein


Does anyone know if NTM leave in has protein in it??

I agree Salerm 21 is mild.

The other two I haven't tried.

I would classify NTM as moisturizing because it contains no protein.

NTM, has no proteins in it!

AVEDA Elixir-has protein, too much for my hair to handle and my hair usually likes them.

Rusk Smoother-has protein, but not too much

Nexxus Humectress-has protein, but the moisturizing properties (in my opnion) heavenly override the protein, making it unnoticable

Nexxus Headress-Same comments as humectress

Great glad to know my precious NTM has no proteins in it.

I think Keracare Leave-in has no protein as well, i think , I'm at work and don't have the bottle with me.

The Protectiv moisturizers have protein in them, ORS Carrot Oil has protein, Kenra MC poo and con have protein.

I learned about the Protetiv ones the hard way.

you caught me out! i totallly 4got...when i go for my retouch my hairdresser uses affirm 5 in 1 recon...
