I just couldn't help myself. Seeing all those waves bought back memories of things men used to do back in the dayz.

For those who remember.....the "beever hats". It was a big rim hat with a 'fur' on it and men use to put baby oil and smooth it on in a circular fashion. Then, they would put plastic from the dry cleaners on it to protect it. And, don't let it be raining outside and they were going out with their hats on...oh, the plastic was still on the hat (so that the rain wouldn't mess it up) and they were dressed to the nines. That was some funny stuff back then.

How many of you can remember that and/or other things that the men use to do that when you think back, was funny to you?

I don't remember that hat, but when I was in high school....way back in the late 20th century...guys used to keep their wave brushes in their back pockets, and would just sit in class brush, brush, brushing their waves into their heads. I came of age during the dreaded jherri curl era, but the memories are too painful to rehash on this forum....

This would have been back during that time too (late 70's early 80's) and they use to have their wave brushes...my brother's had them all and all their friends...use to crack me up!

Now, you know 'Soul Glow Juice' was the bomb back in the day!!! The plastic cap on the hair made everybody's hair grow down their back...yeah, I guess you right...painful:look:

Yep, the original baggy method I guess. Ick the memories, permanent stains on coats. People all dressed for work catching the bus with suits and jherri curl bags. Spraying jherri curl juice all day long. I remember seeing entire families with curls, the kids, parents, grandparents, everyone. I thank my mother to this day that she never let me have one.

OK, does anyone remember tails? A guy would have a faded haircut in the back, and one long arse tail hanging down. Or am I starting to go too far back?

I remember those! Y'all remember the rapper Kwame? He used to wear polka dots all the time? LOL:lachen: He used to have a wavy blonde streak in his high top fade. I remember some guys in my junior high/high school tried that.

Anybody seen the "Ramp". The low cut like a high top fade but the top leans forward just like a ramp.

I also grew up in an area where the older men had a perm and used to walk around with there rollersets tied up better than the women. The "James Brown" rollerset.

Ok, I am old...:look:
