Spin-Off: What bandwagons worked for you?

What bandwagons did you jump on and wished you had tried sooner or became a permanent fixture in your regimen?

I will go first:
- Oil rinsing: all I needed to do was find the right oils for my hair and it has been working like a charm. Love it. I do it after conditioning and before leave-in.

- Seamless combs: can't use anything else. I flew on this bandwagon and got 8 different ones from Hercules Sagemann and Mason Pearson. I only really use the Hercules Sagemann rake, but glad I took the plunge.

I would be lost without the following:

Weekly DCing
Sulfate-free shampoo
Sealing with castor oil
Adding oil to conditioners
The LCO method
Seamless combs
Natural hair products & vendors

In no Particular Order:
Hauling *just kidding*
Steaming
Cowashing
JBCO
Tea/Coffee/ACV Rinses
Henna/Indigo
Baggying (usually about week 8 post)
Mid-Protein Step during relaxing process

Finger Detangling
Pre-Pooing
Seamless Combs
LCO variation of the LOC method for M&S
Using more discernment regarding ingredients

I'm mad that nobody made me try henna earlier!

Pre-pooing: I thought the whole idea was dumb. 3-4yrs later after never progressing successfully, I tried all the radical things that you ladies suggest. This was one of the best.

Lo-poo: diluting shampoos-- same story as above; it sounded so counteractive-- but one of the best things for my hair

oil rinses: I simply love

LCO: where have you been my whole life?!

co-washing: refreshing-- avoided for many years b/c didn't believe it would do anything for my hair.

Most techniques started out or gained popularity as bandwagons so this thread should be popping . There has even been a do nothing bandwagon.

LCO, coconut/castor/avocado oil, Qhemet Biologics, Kinky Curly, and Organix (first product bought as a natural, all the rage on YT, still using).

Ayurveda! Henna, herbal tea rinses ( alma, brahmi), scritching with an herbal oil, neem paste cured my dandruff

Pre-poo

Coconut oil and JBCO. Scalp and sealing.

African black soap ( I use as face wash & shampoo)

Vitamins

"Air drying only" has my hair happy

Joico kpak and thickening conditioners. I'm going to buy the gallon sizes

Mid protein step in relaxer process

Mesh rollers! In love!

Denman brush. Can't live without it.

Chlorella & spirulina. I got excellent growth but got tired of popping pills.

Pre-pooing with oil
Deep conditioning every week
Co-washing - finally found the right conditioner for me
Oil rinsing - still tweaking this method, determining which oils to use and how much
Stretching relaxers 12 weeks or more
Rollersetting
Baggying my ends
LOC method on wash day

Prepooing is at the top of the list. When I was relaxed, protein treatments saved my hair. I think those two alone things alone helped me keep hair on my head, lol. Oil on top of my dc and I'm trying tea under my dc and so far its pretty nice. Oh and doing ACV rinses. Still working on it but seems really nice so far.

Prepooing
Cowashing
Hendigo
Tea rinse and ACV rinse
Steaming (when I do it)
Low mani regi

ETA: how did I 4get the sulfur oil (NJoy's and my own mix)
