I was lurking on the "I was about to give up thread" which is excellent by the way.

I have a question. How do you know when the answer is just plain no?

I know that God can reach down and give my all of my hearts desires, but if the answer is know at what point do I stop wanting something and why is that desire still there?

There are things that I have wanted for years and it never came to pass know matter how many prayers, fasting etc.. that I have done, but the desires still layes heavily on my heart.

I have even prayed form them to be removed time and time again, but yet there they stay.

Why would God still allow me to want something I can never have?

As long as you have life, God can always answer your prayers. I guess it depends how long you want to fight for it. We tend to want things right away. As long as it lines up with the scriptures keep praying, girl. In Kirk Franklin's cd "The Fight of My Life" there is a verse where he says, "Your (God's) delay is not a denial." Kally, you haven't been denied you're just denying the fight that it takes to get there. Love you.

Hey Mocha5

Maybe I just need be patient. I guess the wait is killing me so I am confused on whether or not to give up or keep on.

Waiting can be hard Kally. But, in your waiting...trust God.

Maybe, Kally....that's what He is waiting on from you.....TRUSTING HIM!!!

Blessings, always.

I agree. He is def trying to teach me something. I over think things and am having a hard time trying to figure what the lesson is.

Yep. The wait can be sooo hard. I'm living proof. Just continue to pray for what you want. Don't give up.

Kally, don't give up. Is this something that God told you would come to pass? If so, keep trusting and believing Him. Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean that it never will. God works in eternity. What is years to us could just be a minute to Him. I waited for something for years and everything, I mean everything in the natural looked like it wasn't going to happen. You have no idea how many times I asked God, "Are you sure this is going to come to pass?" Every time I felt like giving up He would give me a little something to motivate me to keep pressing on and it eventually did come to pass. One of the big lessons I learned while I was waiting is that God wants us to turst Him with our whole hearts.

Now there is something that He spoke to me almost eight years ago. Girl, I am still waiting, but I know that if He said then it will happen.

Funny you should mention the bold, because I see little clues on the daily. So maybe my dreams will still come to pass.

man i totally agree . i feel the same way sometimes.. but I know god will show me whether his answer is no or not.. god is a fair god. i just dont believe he would have me thinking the wrong thing.. I just make sure that i pray that whatever the answer is .. i will be able to accept.. and im still waiting too... its been a long time too but you cant give up.
