Spin-Off: Silk Proteins, What Conditioners Has Them?

I'm trying to find some silk protein to mix in my relaxer. I would like to use a conditioner instead of oils, and I want to try and find them first before taking the plundge to order silk protein straight from a website. And the silk protein mixing with relaxer thread sounds very intriguing.

So can you list a list of the silk proteins conditioners that you know of?

Hmmm...I think it would be better to put either straight silk protein or whatever product you have containing the silk protein on the hair first (if it's a conditioner, let it dry first) and then apply the relaxer because if you mix it in together, the silk and the ingredients in the relaxer are going to blend together and hit the hair at the same time, which would kinda defeat the purpose. You want the silk protein to provide a protective barrier so when the relaxer hits, it encounters a "damage roadblock" with the silk.

As for conditioners/products I know that have silk protein:

I'm interested in seeing what other products or conditioners contain silk that I do not have or haven't just looked up haha.

I just ordered a deep conditioning treatment from http://www.aurorasilk.com/shop/silk_shampoo.shtml. It is pure (sericin) silk protein, blended with Dominican glycerin soap and pure Dominican mountain water.

I can't wait until it arrives!

Are you guys thinking of putting silk protein on the previously relaxed hair, on the new growth, or on both??? I got the impression that people wanted to protect their previously relaxed hair with silk.

Well, amino acids make up proteins, so yes, they will pretty much do the same thing.

Are silk amino acids the same as silk protein?

if so...suave tropical conditioner and shampoo have them

Nah, I don't texlax. I left the relaxer on my hair the amount of time I normally do and still came out straight.

Praital Silk Worm conditioners have it. And also, I believe the Sillicon Mix leave-in has it also.
