How do you all do it?

I feel like I look so plain with my protective styles.

I don't know if it really helped or not, but I have a huge collection of (hair friendly) slide barrettes, flexi8s etc.

For awhile I used to put decorative elastic bracelets around my bun to jazz it up.

I feel this way too. I am getting bored with the bun. I have seen some great styles all over the net, but when I try them, they are clearly hair-don'ts
