I bought the creme moisturizer, dew mist, and deep conditioner. The deep conditioner makes my hair really dry and when i use the moisturizer or the mist, i get temp to no relief, so yep, I won't be purchasing it again either:perplexed .

That's two nays....

Anyone? I swear I remember people buying the 32oz bottles of the moisturizer by the bulk!!!

Why am I asking? Well, someone is asking about a moisturizer...I remember this being mentioned A LOT....since some time has past and it's not "new" anymore, and people have used it long term...I just want to know if it's worth recommending.

I still use and and have gotten great results!! In fact, reading her book is what starting me on my hair journey. Her website says that she is going natural and has a new book coming out. BTW, I have 4a/b hair that is relaxed (transitioning).

I bought the 32 oz bottle of moisturizer last spring/summer after initially trying the small bottle. I still have some left but I don't think I would be using it again. My mom uses it every so often, so I basically gave it to her. The small 8 oz bottle was great...but for some reason I wasn't really feeling the larger bottle...it was something about the consistency and I noticed strands coming out in my hands after applying it. As far as the Dew, I tried it two years ago and it was okay...but not enough to buy continuously. The conditioner is great...I will use it forever or until I'm not feeling it anymore.

Yes, her website was the first one I came across when I wanted to do something about my hair...I bought her book and all the products...I can't wait to read her new book.

Awww, this bring back fond memories. I started my hair care journey with her 1 year challenge (last June) too. I still follow the rules outlined in her book, but I've trimmed/cut my hair a few times and I use other products for deep conditioning. I still use her moisturizer, but just until it runs out. It costs more than the carrot oil creme I use now and works the same IMO. But I still consider myself on her challenge with 4 months and 6 days to go. :)

I recently bought both the moisturizer, dew and deep conditioner. I wish I could get my money back. I had to mix the dew with oil as it was too runny. I thought the "mist" bottle was really just that. But it was only a sprayer. The deep conditioner and moisturizer, both just dry my hair out.

I read somewhere I think maybe on her site, that people used to break out from her products and that it was because of all the coconut oil she used. I think maybe she stopped putting so much in and now the products just dry your hair out.

I started using her products about a year and a half ago. And just recently ordered some more dew spray. I think that they work well with my hair when I remember to use them ( because I have so many different products). I also have her book and have tried to keep many of her tips in practice. Like not using brushes as much, only shampoo once in the shower. The only tip that I am still trying to master is being able to obtain growth with out cutting my ends.

.

Can you explain? I know the Dew has a water like consistency and it's in a regular spray bottle, however, with the bottles I had in the past, the spray came out very fine, like a light mist rather than a heavy stream of product...so it never "soaked" your hair.

I like the UBH Conditioner best which worked very well on my hair this is the only product I will repurchase.
I have the moisturizer and I like it but I like BBD Stretch Creme better it is more effective on my hair even though more expensive.

I like the Deep Conditioner, that stuff is great on my scalp! And it cuts breakage for me, the only reason why I haven't gotten more products is I hate paying for expensive shipping.

yeah it was the first real step in took on my hair care trip too... i still look back at it every now and then. now'a days i know more about my own hair and how to deal with it.

i dont use her products anymore but thats just cuz im a pj. i think i might use the conditioner again- i remember the scalp tingles it gave!

I bought the dew... but I have to reapply it so often....so I don't think I will repurchase it. Looking for a better alternative.

I bought the ubh cream mosturizer a couple months ago. I won't be buying it again. The old thread with the rave reviews persuaded me to get it, but after many many applications, I decided I'd never touch it again. It made my hair very weak, and clumped the strands together.

I personally did not like the UBH moisturizer. In fact I still have the bottle which is half full. I just didn't like the way that it made my hair feel. However,I do still use the deep conditioner. I love the stuff!:)

Yeah, her conditioner worked very well on my hair. It was actually effective at reducing excess shedding. I especially love the tingly sensation it gave my scalp. I tend to have a mindset like "if I can feel it an itch, a tingle or anything on my scalp- I know its producing results.

As far as her moisturizer goes, yuck. Thats stuff was tooo drying. Whenever I do use it, which is almost never, I add a bit of EVOO to it.

I like the moisturizer on wet hair only. I wasn't pressed to reorder after I ran out, however a beauty supply has all of her products and I changed my mind and will try the conditioner soon.

I like the Dew and the lotion creme. The dew is the ONLY moisturizer I can use daily and still keep a decent rollerset and the lotion creme is good for bunning and braidouts. i also use the lotion creme as a leave in. i use her conditioner once a week. I retained 2in in 31/2 months. I dont think it too bad and I trimmed 1/2 inch.

I wanted to like her conditioner soo badly, but after the third try I stopped using it. It had a nice smell and the tingle was nice, but it left my hair hard like a brick. And I had breakage as a result. OH well:(

The dew was just okay. But for a pressed style or rollerset, it didn't work for me. It caused my not completely relaxed strands to swell and get frizzy.

I bought UBH aproximately 2 months ago, i've been using the moisturizer on my daughter more than me, when this is finished I'm going back to my tried and true kemi oyl pro - gro shea butter, I like this better as a moisturizer and it's $2 bucks, i've also used the deep conditioner on my hair, I will discontinue when it's done and go back to gueye's stimulating scalp conditioner. I'M NOT IMPRESSED, it probably works well on some people but i'm going back to what works for me.

wow, after reading this thread, maybe I wont bother with this and stick with what I am using. Thanks ladies.

I still use her products. Since her deep conditioner has protein in it, I've changed how I use it. I noticed that it works great on my hair on weeks 1-3 of a relaxer. Four weeks and beyond, I use the UBH creme to keep my new growth soft.
