I'm 11 months into my transition.
I took this pic today...
it's basically what my hair looks
like after I let it air dry and detangled dry
with a Jilbere shower comb (i never detangle
dry but for the sake of this pic)... crazy huh...
now compare that to the other pic I took last week which
shows my hair after rollerset, saran wrap, flat iron, pin curl.

I love the big, wild look :yep:

Your hair has grown so much! When do you think you'll cut off the relaxed ends?

Wow, that is a real difference! You hair has grown so nicely too! I'm always on your site, checking stuff out. I love your hair!

:grin:If you don't know already, I'm a goofball... it looks like you're gonna turn around (in the wild pic) and scream "CRAMPS!!!" Like in the "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" movie:grin:

That first pictures has me :lachen::lachen:"What's love got to do" singing Tina Turner song. Your second photo has salon look. Transitiong well. Just gorgeous!!!

Your hair is faboulous! :congrats: You've got me wanting to go out and get Maxiglide...but I am deathly afraid of heat damage.

 NEVER !!!
Did you know that I haven't had a trim in over 10 months?
Not even a dusting.
No scissors are coming anywhere near my head
until I make a year which will be April or something.
Even then I'm only dusting... no big trims for me.

Loving your fro. How much of your relaxed ends do you still have?

I don't know how many inches, but when I started my transition
I was SL... so whatever that is... somewhere 6-8"

A Maxiglide?? I've heard some nice things about it, but I can't remember seeing someone who did a before and after use pic. VERY NICE!! I have a Chi, but I want to compair so bad! SouthernTease, have you only used a Maxiglide? Have you ever used a Chi or Sedu?

Are you still co washing daily? Do you flat iro after every time you co wash?

I stopped daily co-washing in November.
It was just too cold to do that everyday
plus it was the holidays and I wanted to be cute.
... ever since November I've been doing weekly
rollersets/ saran wrap/ flat iron roots/ pin curl
I used to co-wash and bun everyday
I only flat ironed once every 3 months
... last night I tried a DC-Co-Wash, but it's too cold outside... I'm rollersetting tonight.

I use a CHI and it's a BEAST!!!
I've had mine for over 3 years and it's like new.
Never used any other brands.

SouthernTease.......Your Hair is beautiful .....:yep::yep:

THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS EVERYBODY!!!

Wow....what a transformation! You make it look so easy to manage two different hair textures....so not fair!!! Using heat really makes a difference that's for sure. You hair looks like it getting darker...it's gorgeous!

Oh, okay- That's the work of The CHI! Yeah, I've never used any other one either, CHI is the truth!! :yep:

It is the CHI... it's Dominican deep conditioners, it's saran wrap, it's healthytextures.com rollersetting technique, it's no shampoo that make me a beast at DIY hair styling.
