Please take me back!!

2 year Sob story follows:

I started out at shoulder length, natural. healthy hair - learned so much on these boards.Decided to go texlaxed. Met with LHCF recommended stylist. Talked at length about goals with her. A week later, she relaxed me straight anyway. So then I was transitioning to texlaxed. Hair was healthy, went to APL (sorry no pics cause I was all that :). I let my membership lax cause I thought I had it down. Then it started to break off at demarkation line of straight and textlaxed. Got it in my head to dye it black (even though I knew permanent color was not for me from past exp- what was I thinking!)- after the Bigen it came out big time. *sigh* About 2 months ago I got it cut to just above shoulder length. Just got it cut again last week, just below chin length.

So where does that leave me now - HOT MESS! thats where I am.
My hair is fine (always has been) but now its uneven. I have pieces in the middle crown that are maybe 4 inches long. I can tell where the damaged parts are , not all the damage is at the ends after the dye- honestly it probably needs to be cut again, but I can't bring myself...to top it off, I don't really know how to style it (its supposed to be in some sort of bob but like I said, its a hot mess - pls don't ask for pics, cause there's no way i"m doing that now.) The only good thing is that I've got my texlax procedure down. I'm trying not to use heat so I pincurl, but its a craps shoot as to whether it comes out good or not.

I'm very disappointed about how my hair looks and its condition. Its a hot mess and I should've known better than to dye it. I thought I was doing the right thing by going to a stylist to texlax it, but since then I've been doing it myself. Pls take me back and help me. Its a terrible feeling to go out and not like how you look.

Sorry that you are going through this but on the bright side you have learned your lesson.......You have learned your lesson right???:yep:

What do you want to do now? Texlax, transition to natural......?
There are a ton of cute styles you can do at that length. Don't be discouraged and DON'T STAY AWAY SO LONG AGAIN!!!

Aww! It's ok!!! Let the perfect hair person raise her hand :looks: Nobody's Perfect!!!! :welcome2: :welcome3: back!!!

Welcome back... It's good you have a procedure you're comfy with. You may wanna stick to doing your own trims or making sure you know the person. I'm happy you're back and I know you'll overcome this setback. You picked a great time too. Start the year right and by summer you'll be so hot!

I'm sorry this has happened to you, but look on the bright side, you know what to do to fix the issue and get your hair on the right track again.

:welcome: Back!!!! Its a bummer to hear about your hair mishaps, though. With a little time and patience your hair will bounce back in no time?

Yes. :yep: I HAVE learned by lesson. I'm texlaxing. no, I'm not going anywhere... Thanks for the laugh. I needed it.

:sneakyhug:

Hey girl. Been wondering how your progress was going. Sorry to hear about your setback.:nono: You just gotta dust yourself off and start growing. Your hair was looking great before and it will come back before you know it.

Hiyah :)

:welcome2: back :)

Time for business the important thing is your doing something now :)
and not continuing the damage :yep:

So is your current plan?
Regimen?

Welcome back. Just look at small progress now no more thinking of the past. 3 months, 6 months ect.... you'll be back on track.

Hey! Welcome back!!!!!

I was away from the board for a while too :look:, but I'm glad I'm back and on track!
It's all part of the hair journey to have setbacks and achievements; all part of the learning process.
At least now you have a number of things to add to your personal 'to do' and 'what not to do' list!

All the best for HHJ 2012!!!!

jjamiah- Thats a good question. My regimen is simple because I don't have a lot of time, its basically the same as it was before...I wash once per week, condition. Blow dry on cool. No heat except on wash days - flat iron. Deep conditioning happens sporatically. I pincurl at night and vary between a scarf/bonnet at night to avoid nape damage.

I alternate between hair one shampoo (sally's knock off of WEN) and pantene naturals. Conditioner is aussie or cholesterol. I can't say that I've really found a shampoo that I like, I change when the bottle runs out, though I do like proclaim that I recently bought. Thinking of trying the real WEN.

@shmmr HOnestly Try the Ginger Pumpkin Wen that is selling on QVC right now. It will be available until 11/30/11 if you want to try it.

I used to use Olive Oil Hair One :) I like it alot as well.
Your Regimen sounds great and pretty simple to me :)
@shmmr- Welcome back! And you are talking to the right one bc @JJamiah is a WEN-HEAD :lachen::lachen: It must be meant to be...it is a great sign that your hair is going to get back on track very soon :yep:
