Hey!
I wouldn't say regrets because I learnt more that way! For instance, I was texlaxed for a whole year before I decided to go natural! If I had not gotten that last texlax, I would be further in my transition now.
I don't think I was ready to go natural then though, so I thank God I had my sisters online to inspire and guide me through to my decision. Now over 12 months post and going for at least 2 yrs! :yay:

Not Switching to No-Lye sooner.

Tried for a year to make Lye work for me which wasn't the best for my long-term Hair goals. Frustrated with underprocessing from Lye.:nono:

Great to be educated and introduced to a good Chelating Shampoo.

I regret ever cutting my almost armpit length hair to shoulder length. My scissor happy stylist must have done something wrong cuz in 2 years its just starting to grow back. NEVER again will I cut my hair. *tear* I miss my hair :((

I regret having attempted to relax my hair myself after some chick I had a crush on asked me what was up with "my ***** hair." </end crush> Sometime after that, another chick pressed my hair and proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't wait to relax (I hadn't had my hair relaxed in 5 or 6 months at the time) because it was too hard for her to comb it. :perplexed I ended up having to get a corrective relaxer by a professional a month or two later.
I have since gone natural. I kick myself for letting months of new growth go down the drain because of what two morons think. Lesson learned.

**sigh** Here goes ....

I regret ... straightening my hair more than 3x a week (sometimes I would use it every other day to get it bone straight) just because the guy I was seeing liked straight hair more than my natural curls which ended up sending me from mbl to sl ... I know :nono: :wallbash:

I regret trying Mega-Tek a few years ago. I didn't use it the right way, so I ended up with protein overload and I lost a lot of hair. I had great progress by having my hair in individual braids for months, but I wanted to reach my goal of apl at that time. I was close before I screwed up. I kicked myself for awhile for messing that up. In all honesty, I can only handle my hair when it's long and I feel better when it's long.

I regret not cutting an inch or two off my hair when I first began my journey back in February. I would have saved myself some frustration by getting rid of my ends, which were in bad shape! They eventually all came out or broke off in August and September. If I had just cut them off much earlier I could have saved myself some stress. I was trying to get to SL with raggedy ends.
