I am this close (putting my thumb and index finger together like a pinch) to ordering the CHI ceramic curling iron. I found it on ebay--NEW for $89,99. Now, isn't that a steal?

Someone give me the go ahead or the un-go-ahead. I need a push in one direction or the other

Question for you dear ol' PJ: do you have a ceramic iron? Do you NEED a ceramic iron or you just like how that one looks? If you don't have a ceramic iron and if you've done your homework so you know you will put it to good use and not just push it to the corner while you research your next new "drug", then go ahead. But if you just want to buy it coz you might get withdrawal symptoms from not buying something anytime soon

then dear ol' PJ, I say to you what I said to you before, "Say no to 'drugs'"; and please sign up for PJs Anonymous before it's too late.

Well, I have the Jilbere ceramic iron--but it is the "cheaper" quality version. See my other thread about top quality ceramic iron.

SG,
How often will you use it?? If it's only for once in a while use, I wouldn't get it, but if you'll be using it on a regular basis, I say go for it!!

And BTW, is it damaging to use these ceramic tools on a regular basis??

OK Kupergirl, I assume "better quality" isn't just that it is a designer brand but that it actually works better? If so, I so go ahead. I'm all for quality. Just don't tell Allandra I had anything to do with this if it turns out you were not supposed to get it. I know good ol' Allandra does keep you in check.

Girl, get off that website.

Do you use heat enough to justify that?

Oh no - It's time for an intervention!
I used to be a product junkie and you are showing all of the symptoms of an impulse buyer!
What if you get it home and it doesn't live up to your expectations?

Step away from ebay. You do not need to buy a $90 dollar flat iron. Put that money in your savings account and you will feel much better.

Don't do it gurl!

I say this as a non-PJ- Shoot, I would do it! I want a CHI iron BAD!!!!

And 90 bucks is a good price. It normally retails over $100. Even if u use it once in a while, I think it's a good invetment. I used my hot n gold for only 3 weeks between Dec. and Jan. and guess what? I damaged my ends even though I had it on half the setting I used to have it on. (5 as opposed to 10).

But seriously, I have heard so much good stuff about ceramic irons and about CHI, that although I can not give u first hand experience as I've never tried them, I would put down the money to get one.

Also want to add, that even though I used a really good heat protection, I still ended up singeing (sp) my ends on the hot-n-gold.

The CHI got "94% would buy this product again" out of 80 reviews on makeupalley. That sounds extremely good.Makes me want to buy one just to have around even though I don't wear my hair open often.

I say: Do it! I just purchased an ION ceramic flat iron from ebay last week for $34 and it retails at Sally's for $99, now this is the clincher.... I bought it because it matches my ION blow dryer that I purchased from Sally's the week b4 (am I fickle or what)! I really want one that has a temperature dial so my next purchase is going to be the CHI... and again from ebay!!! I should be doing that next week sometime. Does this mean I'm a PJ?

Okay I got it--Here's my rationale: I could not bear the fact of the Jilbere snagging my hair one more time even if I do use it every once in a while. So, I'll see it as an investment. And thanks you guys for all your help...y'all can come over and borrow it anytime

I think she's gonna get the flat iron.

Please beware of Ebay!! A lot of girls on makeupalley.com trying to buy CHI irons have been scammed. You may want go there to the hair board, do a search and get the details.

I have been looking at that too. I want one bad. Tell me how itworks. By thw way which one did you get the fat one or the slim one. You hair is just beautiful!!

I have a Chi flat iron but it is the Chi TURBO flat iron. I have owned the JIlbere ceramic ( took it back because it snags) and the Hai Ceramic ( took it back cause it snags). THe chi is the best! It glides so smoothly through your hair without a snag! ITs great! The only thing about the regular chi is that there is no temperature control, just one heat setting and it is very hot!!
I bought my Chi turbo off of ebay and its just perfect!

BTW what size chi iron did you get?
