Some Shampoos = Early Sexual Development in Girls?

if you like conventional products this will always be an issue and they are also in condtioners/styling products, cleaning products, makeup/skinacre products, processed food, meat, dairy, bug sprays, air freshners, the list goes on and on. children absorb toxins much faster than adults.99% of the products we talk about in this forum and in bss are toxic....this is why i would rather wait1-2 wks if needed for a handmade haircare or skincare product to be delivered or pick it up from the health food store....its not worth assailing my body with fake estrogen and increasing my cancer risk......

the enviromental working group has a wealth of info and you can check your products to see what their hazard rating is.

I think it's interesting though I wonder about the validity of it. I recall from the initial news reports that it was stated the highest percentages of early development occurred in minorities, with whites seeing the lowest amounts. I would think if it were a matter of shampoo we would definitely see higher percentages in whites as they tend to wash their hair more.

Of course that also comes back to the actual ingredients in black hair care products :wallbash: auuugh. I believe I got mine in 5th grade so I'm worried for girls getting it even earlier than that.

I wish there weren't so many hormones and chemicals in everything, it really has gotten excessive over the years. It makes one worry.

Didn't watch the YT video, but I saw this happen within a generation. When I was a girl, no one got their period before age 13. (I was 16). A generation later, in the 1980s, it was not unheard of for a girl to start her period at age 8 (third grade). It was so sad to see. I remember reading an article in the 1980s about minority girls getting their period earlier than other races and attributing it to "our" hair care products.

I'm actually in the middle of listening to the series! Interesting. Will come back and comment after I've listened to all the parts.
