Soft bonnet dryer for large rollers?

Hi Ladies,

I've just starting ponytail setting my hair instead of blow drying and flat ironing, and just wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a good soft bonnet dryer which accommodates a lot of rollers/large rollers for travelling.

I currently use a professional hood dryer - similar to a Pibbs I believe - which I purchased a few years ago and this is great for DCs and my tail sets when I'm at home but I'm now looking for a travel bonnet dryer which is just a good. I saw a Sasson one in Argos (I live in the UK) but am really not sure if it's the right one for my needs.

Any help or advice would be great :-)

TIA

I have the Gold N Hot Ionic Soft Jumbo Bonnet Dryer. It covers my whole head with the large rollers.

I dont know where in the UK to buy though

I have the Sasson one from Argos ( in fact I'm sat under it right now) - I love it, use it all the time and have never had any problems with it.

Sorry, I should have added that I mostly use large/medium size rollers and haven't had any issues with fitting under the bonnet

I use a Lady Carel Soft Bonnet dryer that I've owned since 1998, and it's still going strong. The bonnet is large enough to cover my rollersets on 2" rollers.

Hi ladies,

Thank you all so much for your responses. I think the Sassoon one from Argos will be the one I get as a starting point especially as it's not so expensive and hopefully will do the job nicely. I'll be doing ponytail sets with grey magnetic rollers (they're either medium or large) so it's good to know the bonnet will be big enough.

If it doesn't do the trick then I'll look to see if I can get the Gold N Hot or Carel shipped over.

Nat 1984 - How long have you had yours for? Does it get quite hot or is it cool and takes a long time for hair to dry under it?

Many thanks

Prospurr -

I've had mine for 6/7 months - it has two heat settings, I never use the second setting as it is way too hot for me and the first setting does the job just fine. It takes about 1 1/2 - 2 hours for my hair to fully dry when in rollers, a bit longer than that if I've wrapped my hair. HTH!!

This is the one I have and I am sitting under it right now in the bed :lachen: You can probably order from Sally's if they deliver in the UK
