Sock bun

Thank you to the ladies who described how to make a bun using a sock. I did one last night before I went out and it came out great. My Fiance wanted to know my "secret" but I wouldn't tell him. LOL. I will definetely be doing this more often.

If you make the filler small enough I think you can.

It's not a dumb question, yes the filler is the sock.

My little cousin used to do this until her hair started breaking off, so make sure you cover the sock with silk stockings to protect your hair.

yeah, thats what i did...i took an old black slip that i used to wear under skirts and dresses and wrapped that around the sock and just sewed the end down....so its nice and satiny!

I used to do the sock bun method when I had shoulder length hair. One of my nieces showed me how to do it (after seeing how cute and perfect her bun looked).
