So would I look right with short hair??? (Pics inside)

So,

I'm on my journal to natural, and I found a natural who I hope doesn't mind that I'm stalking her fotki everyday. Well anyway, she got her hair cut at the end of 7 months after transitioning and it's beautiful, and everyday I want to cut my hair to her natural short style. I really think I could rock it, but I'm not sure, so I went to instyle magazine makeover and just wanted to check what I would look like with natural hair, even though I know none of the hair on there is natural, but I wanted to see if short hair fit my face, I think it does. Plus this girls hair is very very very similar to my natural texture. It looks almost exactly like her twist outs, when I did one the other day. Tell me what you think because if this is the case, I may cut my hair in as little as two months. Also can someone tell me what they think the length of her hair is?? I realize that all hair is different, but I think she is seriously my hair twin.

I can't quite understand what's going on in the pics. Is that you with a short wig? If so the wig is not a good representation of how cute you could look with the right short cut. I think you can be inspired by someone else's look but put your own mark on it. Most times when I try to copy a style exactly like someone else it just does not look the same. Only cut your hair short if it's something you really want to do. Just in case you are new to the board (and you did not do this), it's best to PM someone and ask permission before you post pictures from their fotki. Hahaha, there not wigs they're like virtual celebrity hairstyles on my hair, and I'm sure I would look fine, but I do understand what you're saying about trying to copy people's hairstyle, I definitely want to make it my own. I will try and see what happens, I've never had hair that short, but I think it would look fine.

But I digress...I agree with what the first poster said- it's hard to tell from those second two pics, but if you want to go short, I say rock it! Keep in mind that your texture may be different from hers. Good luck!

As much as I am on the long hair forum, I am partial to short hair. However, I think there are many women who rock long hair very well. I LOVE this girl's hair in the first pic and she rocks it very well. I say go for it, but make sure it is something that YOU WANT to do, not because someone else is doing it. I would start small, just in case you change your mind. Short hair is as beautiful as long, it takes confidence to pull off any look!

Thanks everyone, I do understand what you're saying but I'm using her hair as an inspiration because she has the look that I want especially since I'm transitioning to natural hair. I don't want to 'bite' off of her style, but isn't that what we do? Mimick something that we see if we like it and make it our own?? That's basically what I plan on doing here. So I will definitely take care of my hair and see what happens. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

I wore my hair in short and cute Halle Berry dos. I have gone as short as the Toni Braxton pixie....really really short. Of course, this was years ago, but I sometimes look at those days nostalgically. Even my girlfriend the other day commented on how Rihanna reminded her of me back then. Not that I look like her, but the cute edgy look. So I feel you, OP.

Do what you feel is best. And enjoy it.

Actually, I think you should rethink it because your hair texture doesn't look the same as hers. You should do it based on if you want it short or not and if you're ready to have your natural hair; but if you're trying to get the same type of hair as someone else, you may end up disappointed.

ITA with the bolded. The girl in the pic you posted is beautiful! And I love her hair too, I can see why you love her style so much.
