what then? Once u reach that ultimate length or thickness or color or shape... what then? Is it like waiting to exhale?

<font color="brown">You know, I think I will always look at my hair as a "work in progress." Once I reach my length and thickness goal, I will still work to keep it looking healthy. Additionally, I expect that as time moves along, hormonal changes, climate changes, lifestlye changes, etc., will all present new challenges and goals.

I guess I look at it sort of like losing weight . . . yes, I would exhale, but I know that I would still have to work to maintain it.

When I finally reach my goal of bottom of bra -strap lentgth I will thank God

and then work to maintain it also. I would really love to see if I could get anywhere near waist-length, though, that would be a real challenge.

Well stated!

When I reach my goal I am going to wear the worlds largest Afro puff?

Chances are that I will not reach my hair goal. I will probably get bored one day and cut it off again.

Oh well, we will see what happens when I get there.

I am gonna wild out!! Let it loose!! But I vow to continue to make sure I maintain the health, thickness, and especially, those ends!

When I reach my hair goal I'm gonna walk down the street swinging my hair so hard that it's gonna knock a few people in the eye causing temporary blindness.

Girl, u are too much!

My ultimate goal is pantene commercial hair. I want it long, yes, but it's an appearance goal I'm going for mostly. I plan to continue to strive for that ideal until I'm old and grey.

So I guess I'll jsut be fulla air cuz it sounds like I'll NEVER exhale.

When I reach my hair goal, every month I'm going to cut 1/2 inch off. Also, I'm going to keep it in the natural Goddess braid styles that I've been thinking of.

*I'll still be a PJ
*I'll probably still wear protective styles (out of habit now)
*I'll encourage other women that they can too

*I'll take it as a compliment when people call it a weave
*I'll still obsess

*I'll still enjoy taking care of my hair

[/ QUOTE ] That's a good idea cause ur hair
will be as long as you want already and that would help
keep it real healthy.

I will definitely show my hair off. I will get a beautiful roller set so that it will hang and bounce just the way I want it to, purchase a new outfit and then show up to an event extremely late!!!

Well, for a start I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair!!!

I will continue to maintain healthy hair care habits. I'd keep it trimmed often as a benefit of retaining health of the ends. I've always dreamed of wearing my hair in long silky looking braids, twists or cornrows with pretty beads on the ends

once in a while I'd treat myself to flat ironing my hair straight

Switch to 'maintenance mode' to retain/encourage thickness and health and keep a hawk eye on preventing any split ends.

Just try and UP the hair's health overall.

I will definitely exhale and watch my waistlength hair get fuller and fuller on the ends because I can finally keep cutting whatever I grow!

When I reach bra strap I'll still alternate between wet buns for updos and blowdried ringlets worn down. No rollersetting between salon visits when my stylist pulls it straight to trim it. I'm lazy, and these quick styles look good on me.

I'm going to stop doing these little trims and do a big chop! (for healthier ends) Then...I'm going to aim for another goal.

Once I reach my hair goal (waist length), I'll then move on to my next goal which is gradually trimming off the relaxed ends and getting my natural hair as long as possible. Luckily, these work hand in hand...
